Hello and thank you for visiting our guestbook.

This is an open guestbook. Please feel free to add an entry to the guestbook for others to read.

All guestbook signings are being monitored and entries are approved by the family before they are posted to the website due to some recent inappropriate signings.

Thanks for your comments. The family sincerely appreciates it.

I'm glad to see that Lauren is doing well, especially with her expressiveness and her cooperativeness in wearing hearing aids at least some of the time. I'll be praying about that balance and another good ABA (whatever that is I know that medical jargon is a second language that you've become all too familiar with).

Merry Christmas and a very blessed Happy New Year. I have been following Lauren's progress since September of 2004. A friend sent me an email asking for donations for Lauren's treatment. Unfortunately, I was not in the financial situation to give, but decided to pray for Lauren's family, as well as, Lauren's recovery and progress. Your family has touched my life deeply and I admire the courage, faith and love that you have exhibited throughout this past year. May God bring you all the joy, happiness and love your family deserves. With great love-Janelle

Unfortunately, we have all come down with some kind of virus and I don't want to get any where near you until I'm feeling 100% better. I just want you to know that I think about you each and every day. I am so glad the first year has gone so well and now with your move into your new home the future looks so bright. Hey Lauren Reed! I am a senior in high school and during class i typed in my name into a search log and found you! You are quite an inspiration! I, unlike you, have dark brown hair and brown eyes. But something that we have in common is that we both love to sing! Actually this weekend i will be going to audition for All-State Choir! I have 3 younger brothers and two of them are 6. One has juvenile diabetes. It was neat to meet you and stay strong! God Bless!

I thought that she seemed more coordinated, more talkative, and with a better appetite, just plain "more better" at Nathan's birthday cake. And how I loved hearing her sing "Happy birthday". What a sweetheart, with her beautilul curly hair. (Of course, I may be a tiny bit prejudiced, but isn't she a doll?)

Hello Reeds! It has been quite awhile since I have seen or spoken with you, but I wanted you all to know that I am still following Lauren's outstanding progress online and continue to pray for all of you. I am about to begin my final semester of nursing school in Tucson and recently accepted an externship position in adult oncology at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa. Hopefully when I graduate, I will be able to work in pediatrics, perhaps continuing in oncology. I also wanted to let you know that my friend got a job at the Phx Zoo as a keeper. I don't know if you remember me telling you in the hospital, but I had said that I would try to get a behind the scenes tour set up for you guys if she got that position. Please let me know if that is something you would still be interested in, and how much longer Lauren will be in isolation. Take care of yourselves (that means you too Mom and Dad!), and remember that you are in my thoughts and prayers often. ~Jennifer Rice, UofA nursing student

Glad to hear the procedure went well. How nice to have all the lines out!! We're sorry to hear about the hearing loss. Hearing aids are a challenge, but as you said, there are worse things.

We will continue our prayers for Lauren and your family. P.S. Cameron is finally keeping his hearing aids in - finally!

Tell them that Talan and Duncan miss them coming over to play. We have crayon on our window as a souvenier from those two that I still haven't washed off. We rejoice when you rejoice and are sad and say a prayer when you are sad and need a prayer.

God has certainly heard those prayers this week and answered them in some awesome and unexpected ways! Thank you Heavenly Father for just constantly encouraging Brian and Carrie in their darkest moments. Thank you for your constant watch care over them all. We praise you for being the Great Physician and healing her body each hour and each day. We sing praises to you for allowing them to go home for Christmas to see their loved ones, to rejoice in togetherness and, above all, to remember the birth of their Savior. Continue to keep Lauren healthy over the next several days, especially, and give her a hug from us all. We love you, and we love them so much.

Hi Guys!

It was nice to talk with you today. I miss you! Lauren is such a special gift from God. She has touched so many hearts and lives across the world. I am certain that she has led a heart to accept Christ. I know that the focus of this ordeal is on Lauren, but I believe, and always have, that God gave Lauren to you because he had blessed you with love, patience, kindness, strength, determination, and many other skills. He molded you both into the amazing parents you are. God knew that you would cherish his gift to you.

God gave us the ultimate gift ~2000 years ago when Jesus was born. God picked the perfect parents for Jesus and had a specific plan for his life. I know he has a plan for Lauren and that you were chosen specifically, as a part of His plan.

I don't know how you feel, but I can imagine the medley of emotions you go through on a day-to-day basis. Remember that I am here whenever you need to talk.

I love you all! You are such an important part of my family.

prayer all of you tomorrow when we meet.Isaiah 65:24
says that before they call I will answer and while they are yet speaking I will hear. Be sure that all the prayers are being heard by our Heavenly Father. Not one has been unheard. God is faithful and he loves Laruen beyond measure, just as he does you both. The word also says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. There are
many promises in his word and they are all for us .So continue in the word and never give up, because God is faithful.

I sure hope things are still going ok. It sounds like Lauren is on the right path and has made it through the more serious complications, so that is definitely a huge step! God will get you through this, so please don't become discouraged. You and the entire family have done such an amazing job and I know that I could never have kept my spirits up as well as you have. There will be set backs, but remember that doesn't mean things aren't going well. Your amazing faith in God will get you through these little bumps in the road. My favorite poem of all time is "Footprints". I obviously can't write the whole thing here, but I know that you know how it goes. If you have a copy, read it again and that should help to boost your spirits on those days when you are feeling down. I love you all and I really hope that you have a terrific Christmas! I am glad Mommy liked her presents that Nathan & you got her. Well, I will see you soon, keep up the good work sweetie. Papa & Mia love you so much, Hugs & Kisses.

Brian and Carrie,

I just wanted you to know in case you don't that Ativan works the same way on me. I was taking it to help me sleep at night...but it wouldn't let me!! I was up all night and I couldn't sit still or lay still. It was horrible. So this isn't the first time that someone has has an adverse reaction to meds. Bendzodiazapines do have that potential and if I am remembering correctly it happens more in children than adults. So I guess it is a lesson learned and she'll never be given that again. When I used to take it I had to take it with Benadryl to counteract the Ativan. The two together make me tired but the two seperately have me flying around the room :0)

I'm so glad to hear that Lauren's platelets are stabilizing and that she is keeping meds and liquids down. I'll be praying that she gets her appetite back though.

Please tell Carrie I said Happy Birthday! And please also say hello to your mom for me if you wouldn't mind.

Love you guys and you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Remember...don't give up...that's not an option :)
Love,
Gabrielle Ryan

We'll go after that pancreatitis. On the whole, it sounds like Lauren is doing very well. She is experiencing some of the same difficulties I've seen in the journals and guestbooks of other transplant kids. She's got a good medical staff taking care of her. It's great to read the good news of her progress.

Dear Carrie, Brian, Lauren, Nathan, Bonnie, Dennis and Family:

I've been praying for you all and following Lauren's status closely since I heard about Lauren's diagnosis from Mom and Dad. I'm thrilled that Lauren is doing so well with the procedure thus far. I emailed Lynette Hull awhile back through the "contact us" link on the website and also emailed Brian but haven't heard back re my questions. I'm sure you are all very busy and don't have time to respond to all the emails, but Dan and I would like to make a donation help with Lauren's expenses. I can't find the link on the website to donate to the charitable fund that was set up. It was there for awhile, but when we got ready to send some money it was gone. Please let me know how we can make a donation. In the meantime, we will continue to lift up Lauren and each of you to God in our prayers. Love, Leigh Gillett

Dear Reed family,

Tonight my husband and I visited a haunted house in our neighborhood that was raising money for Lauren. We took my nephew and his friend, both healthy, 11-year-old boys. The flyer handed out at the haunted house tonight gave the webiste for Lauren, and I've just spent the last hour getting caught up on Lauren, your journey and the amazing faith in God your family has. I can't imagine what the last few months of your lives have been like, or how exhausting your road ahead will be. But, I do know that Lauren's story has touched my heart in an incredible way. I'm not sure how we can help, but my husband and I are committed to telling everyone we know about Lauren and the fight this sweet little girl of yours has in front of her. I hope that in some way we will be able to help your family.

God bless you, Reed family!

Brian, Carrie, Nathan, and especially Lauren,

I was just catching up on the website. I was so very excited to hear about Lauren's Halloween experience. I too, bet that she was the sweetest cheerleader ever.... Anyway, it just brought tears to my eyes and I realized how much I am missing all of you. I will continue to pray every single day for you until Lauren makes it back home. Please give Lauren a kiss for me and know that there are many people out there who care about all of you.

Dear Reed Family;
We were touched by Lauren's story and we decided to do a fund raising by holding a halloween haunted courtyard. We have passed out quite a few flyers in the NW Phoenix/Glendale area about Lauren, explained how to donate, and about the "haunted courtyard". We have had quite a response already. If anyone would like to come to the haunted courtyard, we're holding it 10/29 to 10/31, dusk to 9:30pm, at 4530 W. Misty Willow lane (between Pinnacle Peak and Happy Valley) We are also asking everyone that calls to go ahead and make the donations directly to Lauren's benefit account at B of A. We are accepting donations at the gate as well. We hope to raise fund to help Lauren and her family. Our thoughts are with you! We'll contact your fund raising organizer, Lynette, to keep her updated! Sincerely, David, Yukari, Rod, Cindy, Julie, Craig, Jared, Dave & Ellen, Steve, Jeff, Scott, and many others that have made contributions...

I am really one of the privileged few! I talked on the phone with Lauren the day after her first chemo. She was feeling fine, and wanted to talk on Daddy's cell phone. She said "Hi", and "Bye". Thanks, Brian, for thinking of me. You know that you all are constantly in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm praying for you all this week. For Lauren, I'm praying for the strength of her little body and that she will feel well during these first days of chemo and being in a new hospital room. For Brian and Carrie, I'm praying for strength and peace as these strong medicines and new procedures do the work they must do to make Lauren well. For grandparents and baby brother, I'm praying for peace and the knowledge that all is going well and according to God's plan in this time of separation. These next weeks will be tough for you all, but rest in the knowledge that God has brought you all to this place and He is with you. Brian and Carrie, if you have any questions or just need to talk, my phone number is (936) 564-4555. I'm here if I can help you in any way.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Reed,
My teacher had resently recieved one of your flyers, it was heart breaking when she explained what would happen if she did not get the operation. She told the other teachers about the flyer and it has become a goal to help your daughter Lauren. Our class has been sending care packages to Iraq, to a few soliders, we raised money and planed to save what we had left to use in our next shipment, but might give that money for Lauren. I my self grab extra flyers that she copyed so I could pass them out to my neighborhood knowing most of the neighborhood, I would guess they just might donate a whole lot of money. Good luck.

Lauren and family,
So happy to have you leave message on Annabelle's sight. Annabelle has a new sister on 10/25/04, Mia. I was able to cut the cord at birth. I am so happy the transplant has began. I wish all of you the best. Listed under Blue Cross of Idaho Insurance (Standard Treatment for Sanfilippo is Cord Blood Transplant - if the child does not have too much damage.
Annabelle is doing great. We are returning to Duke in two weeks for her 6 month evulation. She is say words very clearly and is using 3 or 4 words together some of the time. She eats fish 6 or 7 times a week which I'm sure helps with brain power. My phone is 208-343-7322 if you have any question or want to say hi. While at Duke I cleaned Annabelle's room after the cleaning people left. I will keep you all in my prayers. She will do good and Annabelle can sometime meet Lauren. Sending positive thoughts your way. Annabelle's grandmother Christine

Hearing the latest news brought me to tears. I sat, staring at my computer screen, in shocked silence. God is so good. It amazes me how much, after all these years that I still have a hard time, sometimes, trusting God to take care of me. And the things that I need are so routine compared to what he is providing for Lauren. God is truely amazing. Your entire family is my prayers. Please let me know how I can be a support to you. I met Lauren's grandmother at Fellowship Square in Mesa having Hobo Breakfast or lunch with my mom, Ruth Weyer. I am home now in Colorado and will continue to follow Lauren's story on this website. Last year I taught a five-year old with Hurler's so am familiar with her condition, and the remarkable children they are.

Brian and Carrie--I am so glad that God has opened doors closer to home for Lauren's transplant. We were able to do both of ours in Dallas (3 hours from our home) and that was much better than our NIH (in MD) alternative. It helps to be closer so you can get help from family. Our youngest, Drew, was two earlier this year when he went through the harvest procedure for Brett's transplant. He did great. He rubbed his bottom for one day then never mentioned it again. Two year olds are pretty tough and bounce back very quickly. Please know that I will be praying for you all next week. I know how anxious you both are. I will never forget the first day of chemo for both of the twins. I stood there and watched it going into them, thinking about the fact that it was poison, and wondering what we were doing. But, you know what? God knows all and He knew exactly what we were doing and we did it completely under His direction and guidance. Neither Brooke nor Brett had any ill effects from the chemo during the eight days. In fact, neither of them slowed down until a couple of days after the transplant. Hang in there and please let me know if I can help you in any way. God is good and He is faithful. Lauren is His and He takes care of what belongs to Him!!!

Thank you Sunny for responding so kindly...we obviously misunderstood your words and I apologize for that.

Brian, Carrie, Lauren, and Nathan:
I think it is awesome that you are going to continue the Lauren Sutton Reed Benefit Fund as a permanent fund to help others with the same disease. You have already and will continue to make a big difference in the lives of many people, and hopefully this fund will ensure that others don't have to go through such a difficult time as you have. Raising the money is not something that you or any others should have to worry about when there is a child who so desperately needs you. I am extremely thankful to all those who helped take that burden off your shoulders by stepping in and taking charge of the fundraisers. I know that God is very proud to have such wonderful children who continue to love Him and remain so faithful through such a difficult time. I love you all very much and am proud to be related to such an amazing family.

Brian, it has been a long time since we have spoken. I am sorry to hear about what you and your family are facing. However, from what I have recently heard on the radio and also the information in this website, it sounds as if God is going to use Lauren as a powerful tool for His glory. Praise God for all he has done, and for all he continues to do. What I can do for you and yours is pray. I will make sure to keep all of you in prayer for the next year as she is healing from her treatment.

Hello Reed family! I was filled with joy when I found out that the insurance was going to help you. When Lauren gets better you should all go to Disneyland with some of the money that was raised. Hang in there Nathan, Lauren and all of Lauren's family. There are a lot of people thinking about ALL of YOU! Keep your head up high and be strong for Lauren. There are so many fund raisers taking place that we can't keep up with them all. However, I want to mention a handful that I have been made aware of. My heart goes out to these dedicated people who are working so hard to raise money for our little Lauren:
Richard & Dianna Lafferty
Dana Jennings
Heather Balch
Catholic Healthcare West & the employees at Perot Systems
Betty Widener & the Christian church she attends
Kolbi Peterson & her Stampin' Up friends
Lisa Steig
Jill Allyn
Mina Collins & her car wash crew
Aileen Marcus & Tami Marks
Central Christian Church
Gateway Fellowship Church
Gethsemane Lutheran Church
Carol Wrolstad
Trilogy Band of Angels
Power 92 Radio
and of course, Lynette Hull
This list is just the few that have come across my email inbox. It represents hundreds of others who are not listed. I am deeply indebted to everyone and the words "thank you" seem so inadequate. Just know you are in my heart and prayers.

Also, all admission proceeds will go into Lauren's account, as well has half of any monies taken in for Ann's Albums sold at the event. Dear Reed Family,
I just want to let you know what an awesome and glorious God we have. In putting together the benefit concert on the 15th, I have seen God do a miraculous work. As it stands every single part of this endeavor has come free of charge. Every band, every raffle and auction item, all concesions, the sound system, the venue, the flyer distribution, everything has been donated, I say all of this to show how awesome God is and how special Lauren is to so many people. Lauren is touching hearts every day and God is using her cause to draw others to Himself. We pray for you on a daily basis and know that God has a special plan for Lauren. Lauren, we love you and are praying for you to get all better. ;-D

Hi Brian and Carrie--I'm the one with two children (now 5 yrs. old) who have had stem cell transplants to cure a rare genetic disease. Are you completely bowled over by how good God is and how generous people can be? Our family has been amazed over and over and we didn't have the financial consideration of paying for the whole transplant process. I know that is mind-boggling for you. I remain in prayer for your family and can tell you firsthand that we serve a God of awesome and incredible miracles--I look at two every day!!!!! I am so glad your fundraising efforts are going well and will continue to pray that God opens doors for your family as He did for ours. If I can help you in any way as you prepare for this big process, please let me know. The scripture we adopted as our own when Brooke had her transplant was, "For I know the plans I have for you, sayeth the Lord, they are plans for good and not evil, to give you hope and a future..." Isaiah 29:11. Draw strength and comfort from Him every day. And, know that He is with you in every aspect of this situation. In Him

Hi there...I went to a yard sale two weeks ago here in the Dallas area and Lauren's aunt was raising money for Lauren's cause. I just wanted you to know that I've fowarded info about Lauren to everyone in our Moms Club and several of those people have passed the info on to everyone in their address book! We're going to do what we can. I too have a three year old little girl and we want you to know that Lauren is in our prayers.

Dear Mr. Reed,
I meet you last night at the benefit for Lauren, I had told you that I was going out of town for a week and would get back to you about my moms company and Z tejas. I just wanted to reasure you that it wasn't just talk. I am going to my mom's company and asking if they can help. I don't know for sure if they will individually give money or if the company itself will, but like you said every little bit helps and that is coming from half way across the US. I hope you are doing well today and give Lauren a big hug and kiss from all of us next time you see her. Happy anniversary again and have a great day. Much light and love

Hello. Rhonda Frachiseur referred me to your site. I hope things are looking up. I aksed Rhonda some questions that she suggested I post here.
Has the TV coverage emphasized that the insurance company won't cover a transplant? That might encourage people to offer financial assistance and might also influence the insurance company if they think it is bad PR. If your insurance predicament is publicly but politely mentioned enough times, maybe the insurance company will relent. It's worth considering.

Dearest Reed Family,
Last nite, a friend of mine and I went to Friday's for dinner and we saw a few young men asking for donations for Lauren. I asked him what the donatins were for and after he explained everything....I was soo moved. After dinner, I gave a donation.
I can somewhat realate to what you are going thur. I have 15 month old twins, one of which had an extreme surgery, brain surgery to correct Infantile Spams, a form of seizures that would of taken her life if she did not have this surgery. She has such damage to her right side of the brain, due to lack of oxgen while I was carrying her. She had her right side disconnected from her left. She had the surgery in Feb of this year and now she is developing and becoming such a healthy and wonderful little girl.
Our insurance was not very cooprative in having to pay for it... but eventually we were able to get it done. I can relate with the frustration and aggrivation.
I want you to know that my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I will pray every day. I will pass your story on to our family and friends locally and in other states to pray to be able to get her the surgery she soo needs, to get the insurance company to take care of this, to watch over her during this time, once she has the surgery, that it is successful, that she has a full recovery and to pray for the best of support, guidance, and as much "easeness" during this trying time for you and your family. I do hope and pray for the very best for your daughter.
Sincerely,
The Zicafoose Family

First let me say how very sorry I am to hear of Lauren's diagnoses and the added stress of the insurance company.
My daughter was diagnosed with Krabbe and transplanted at Duke. I read your story on the Trimpers web site and I posted it on the Krabbe message board. After talking to other Krabbe families we thought of a few things to try to help. Talk, Talk, Talk...got to your newspapers, news channels and political leaders...insurance companies don't like bad images! By taking away the only hope that Lauren has...that would be a bad image. Also, check to see if she would qualify for medicaid or any other assistance. Ashleigh does not in New Jersey but it depends on the state. New Jersey has a catastrophic illness fund for children, maybe Texas does also. One family recommended going to your local accountants and big businesses...they need tax write off's for the end of the year.
Talk to everyone and PRAY.
I am sorry this sounds to blunt, I was just shocked by the insurance companies refusal to pay.
I will be praying for your little girl, sweet Lauren. I will also be telling your story, hopefully good news will come soon.
With HOPE,
Michelle

Dearest Reed Family,
I saw Lauren's first spot on channel 3 and was brought to tears. I have a 2 year old daughter and to know that your family has to go through this is....well, i just can't imagine.
I'm currently studying Anatomy and Physiology as a class to prepare me for nursing school. We have been given an assignment to do a paper on genetic diseases. After seeing Lauren's angelic face I decided that I needed to write my paper on San Filippo Syndrome. Please let me know if you would like to read it when I am through.
Since I am a starving student, I have only been able to donate a small amount for Lauren. However, I plan on volunteering to help where ever and when ever I am able.

Mom and Dad...you are truly amazing people.
Lauren... you are a sparkling, beautiful little girl and I hope to meet you someday.
I will continue to pray for Lauren's health and the strengh of the entire family.
May God bless you and keep you in his warm embrace,
Patty

Dear Lauren and family,
I received this link from a member of my church at Central Christian. I read all the pages and I am moved beyond words. I have two daughters of my own and am greatful everyday that they are healthy. We did however go througha brief but scary situation with my younger daughter when she was about two. We discovered a large knot on her neck and I immediately took her to the doctors. After much evaluation, the doctors informed us that it shoudl be surgically removed and tested for cancer. We spent several days a Phoenix Childrens Hospital waiting and praying. She is now almost 8 years old and doing well. I know the power of prayer works, as we have firsthand knowledge! I pray for you and your parents to be strong and brave. It must be a scary time for you. I wish you well and a speedy recovery. I will also pass this link around to everyone I know as it was passed to me.
God Bless you and your family!

Dearest Lauren,
I used to work with your Dad and can remember when you were born, what a difference you made in your proud parents life.
Your pictures used to circulate all over the Office, a little Angel. I still have pictures of you loaded on my computer one is from a Company Pinic in Phoenix, you had this adorrable hat on and big beautiful eyes, a little Angel. My hopes and prayers are that when you grow up
you can read all these wonderful thoughts and prayers from friends, family and even strangers, and know that people from everywhere united to help. Only an Angel could do that. I only wish I had known sooner and could do more to help. I will keep on spreading the word until I know you have reached your goal. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I have seen your story several times on the local news and it just breaks my heart to think that your little girls life is being determined by such a small thing as money! I lost my daughter MacKenzie 5 years ago to cancer, we were fortunate enough that our insurance company paid for all treatment for my daughter. Today MacKenzie is my guardian angel, she was so full of life and love. I would love to share my Guardian Angel with Lauren. To watch over her during this important time in her life. I would love to get out to one of your charity events this weekend, but am home recovering from surgery, so I will be donating money through BofA. I wish your family the very best. I will keep Lauren in my prayers. I love to talk to about my experience and hope that my story can help others, so if you ever want someone to chat with please feel free to email me. I will also email everyone I know to send them to your website. With all my love and prayers! Jamie

Brian and Carrie.
I have sent this link to as many people as I can think of. All of you are in our prayers. Thank you for keeping us updated. Brother you know what they say about two or more being gathered......well.....take a look at this guestbook. I read an entry in here that says that the Lord is bigger than the insurance companies and truer words couldn't have been said. We are anxiously waiting for the "GOOD NEWS".

I haven't stopped thinking about your family since you came and got copies from me. I just wanted to let you guys know how much your little girls story has touched my heart. I strongley beleive in miracles, my daughter was given a less than 5% chance to live, she's now 4! I think this is going to be a great story to tell her when she has her own family. How everyone feel in love with a beautiful little girl, how everyone came together to pray for her. She WILL get through this, and whatever else life throws at her. Your family is forever in my heart.

Dear Lauren's parents,
We recently heard about Lauren's situation with her health after driving by one of the volunteers taking donations. We know you may have had a lot of well meaning friends and relatives offering advice and remedies by now so you may be turning a deaf ear to any more suggestions. But, we'd like to ask you to keep an open mind and hear us out.
We feel that we have a moral obligation to tell you about Reliv, a product that could change Lauren's life and yours. I have had my own health challenges and in the process discovered that the root cause of all disease is malnutrition and toxicity. You may not think so since this disease is deemed a deficiency caused by a recessive gene, but we have heard and read stories that the right nutrition has helped people overcome health issues related to genetics.
The body is an amazing miracle made by God to heal itself when given what it needs to do so. That's why we heal when we get a cut or break a bone. Reliv is an amazing product and there is nothing on the market like it. We believe, if Lauren has any chance short of a miracle, then this is the way to go.
If you'd like to know more, please contact us at 480-899-1176. At least, we had to know that we did our best to let you know about this. Our prayers are with you.

Hello Reeds!
Someone at my job just posted a printout of your webpage, and I saw the name/address and went to the webpage ay my computer at work (I work at First National Bank of Arizona). Your daughter is beautiful, and somehow looks familiar to me...
I clicked on the page of more photos and saw your family photo, and now I remember you...my wife and I participated with you in Growing Kids classes at Central, and we spent time with you over at the Lauer's house at times...
When I recognized Lauren's picture and read your account of her illness I cried for her and all of you. Know that our love and prayers are with you and toward you. May God find a way to bless and strengthen you through this difficulty. I pray a prayer on all of you now, that you will be able to raise the money you need and to get the treatment done for Lauren.
Let us know if we can be of any help,

Lord God, you created Lauren ever so carefully from the inside out in her mother's womb, and we know that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, because your works ARE wonderful. This we know full well, and we thank you. Lord, there seems to be enzymes missing in the way Lauren's body is working, and we humbly, but boldly ask -- in the powerful name of Jesus Christ -- that You provide Lauren with the enzymes and with every other thing necessary for her little body to heal and to grow and function as it should, in perfect unity and harmony. We pray that Lauren's days will be healthy, productive days, and that this trial will be one that will result in wondrous glory to You. You have told us, Lord, that "the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Please protect Lauren and her family from all that the thief is trying to steal from this precious family and from You, Lord. Please give little Lauren and each of her family life to the full -- life filled with your gracious provisions -- the very life-giving components that Lauren's body needs, Lord. Keep all of them strong, Lord. Keep Lauren close to you, fully protected by you, and fully provided with every good gift that comes only from You. Thank you, Lord God, for all that you are about to accomplish in and for Lauren. In our precious Savior's Holy name, we pray all of these things and wait expectantly upon You.

Dear sweet Lauren,
We love you so much and are praying for you and your family daily. In John 9, the disciples asked Jesus why a man was born blind, and Jesus replied "...so that the work of God might be displayed in his life" and then Jesus healed him! The glory of God is shown every day in your life and I believe that the sweet hands of the Lord Jesus are going to heal you!

Dear Lauren & Family;
The web site is wonderful for people to see - all the support and prayers Lauren is receiving - WOW! GOD IS GOOD! I believe what Jesus says in Matthew 18:19-20 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in Heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." We are also praying and taking up donations at our church here in Utah for Lauren's Miracle! She is a beautiful little child of God! May He watch over you and keep you in His loving care!

Dearest Lauren,
We haven't had much of a chance to spend a lot of time with you as we are so far away, but we do know that you are a very precious and adorable child. We certainly wish that you didn't have to be ill, but God obviously has other plans for you. As my favorite poem 'Footprints' says, God carries you through the most difficult moments in your life. He will always hold you close in his arms and you will always be in our prayers. Lauren, Nathan, Brian, and Carrie, we love you all.

I just wanted to let you know that your family and especially Lauren is in our prayers, and I thought I would let you know the value of prayer, as my wife was diagnosed with metastsized breast cancer(her second time) last Febuary, we were told she had a prognoses of about six months, and after finding the right Doctor and with a lot of prayer, she was just told 2 weeks ago that she is in total remission. what a great God we have, as this is the 3rd life saving miracle that he has given us. Know that God has a miracle in store for you and through our specific prayer that we continue to ask god for his healing hand upon her and that he will continue to bless your family

I am so amazed at the outpour of affection and love for our Lauren! Lauren is such an amazing little girl. She is so much fun to watch as she learns and matures. We were there when she took her first step, and spoke her first word. We do not want to see her stop walking or talking, EVER! I know that the Lord has opened doors for this family to walk through in FAITH. While it is going to be difficult to trust, that is exactly what we must do. The Lord will guide the hands of the surgeons during her surgery, and he will guide the hearts of the people, who don't even know her, to give. Let Lauren continue to be this angel we know and love!
We love you Lauren and Nathan and Brian and Carrie!
